March is celebrated as Youth Art Month, and two Indian Lake Middle School students have been selected for state level honors.

Eighth-grader Allison Butler was chosen as an honored artist for the 43nd Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition with a landscape painting.

Fifth-grader Brady Jackson was selected as an honored artist for the 43nd Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition with a landscape painting.

Both events are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association, with each exhibition featuring 89 works of art from students in grades K-8 across Ohio.

There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA.

Indian Lake Middle School art teacher Rebecca Dotson, along with Allison and Brady, attended a reception at The King Arts Complex in Columbus over the weekend.
