One person was transported by medical helicopter to a Columbus-area hospital following a serious two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 1, in the area of U.S. routes 33 and 68.
Preliminary reports indicate a pickup truck and car were involved and one person was transported to Grant Medical Center by a MedFlight helicopter with serious injuries.
U.S. Route 33 near U.S. Route 68 was closed for a period of time while first responders worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the crash. Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted, but the roadway has since reopened.
