Two people were transported by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital following a crash about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 235 at County Road 13.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Tabitha L. Dixon, 29, of Piqua, was operating a northbound car on State Route 235 when she struck the rear of a northbound pickup that had slowed to make a turn onto County Road 13. The pickup, operated by Clarence D. Grow, 68, of DeGraff, was then pushed off the road into a traffic sign.
Ms. Dixon was transported by Indian Lake EMS to the hospital for incapacitating injuries. Mr. Grow was transported by Riverside squad to the hospital for possible injuries.
Ms. Dixon reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, and also two children in her vehicle were not properly restrained in child safety seats, deputies report. No injuries were reported to the children. She was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead, two counts of failing to restrain a child in a child safety seat, and received a seat belt violation.
Damage was heavy to her car and moderate to the pickup.
• Jessica R. Meyer, 30, of Bellefontaine and her passenger, Amber Frost, 30, of Bellefontaine, each were transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday morning.
Ms. Meyer reportedly was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle on U.S. Route 33 near State Route 540 about 6 a.m. when she drove into the median and came to a stop. No damage was reported to her vehicle.

Man lodged for receiving stolen property
Eric K. Smith, 26, of 327 S. Miami St., Quincy, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property Tuesday.
Deputies received a theft report Jan. 5 from Joshua Foreman, 213 S. Miami St., Quincy. He said someone had entered his vehicle and removed his wallet, which contained credit cards and gift cards.
During their investigation, deputies learned the defendant had pawned two of the gift cards from Mr. Foreman’s wallet. He was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
