Wayne Barth, 75 of DeGraff, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 18, 2019.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri to the late Wilbur G. and Ruby C. Barth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Thomas.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Barth, sons, Galen Barth, Kevin (Nikki) Barth, Nathan (Michelle) Barth; brother, Roger Barth; grandsons, Brayden Barth, Carson Barth, and Daric Barth; and nieces and nephews.
An active member and Sunday School teacher at the Mt. Tabor Church of God, Wayne is now a member of the eternal congregation. He is a veteran of the United States Army and graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri in 1965. Wayne retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in 2004.
Wayne and Joyce enjoyed traveling to Church of God camp meetings and also took many vacation trips together. Wayne loved being with family and so enjoyed his Saturday morning phone calls with his brother Roger. Born into a farming family, he always had a special place in his heart for farming.
He especially enjoyed letting his grandsons drive his Mahindra tractor which was once owned by his father. In addition, his grandsons got to experience the thrill of riding and driving around the field in the old Toyota pickup. Above all, Wayne’s greatest desire was to be a good Christian example and to faithfully attend church services when the doors were open. His caring and compassionate personality will be missed by all.
