The Logan County Art League hosts nationally known Ohio watercolorist, Christopher Leeper for a four-day watercolor plein air painting workshop from Sept. 10 through 13 for beginners through advanced level students. The French term en plein air refers to painting outdoors on location rather than in a studio and the workshop will focus on the process of creating a plein air painting and developing a plan for success. The importance of composition design and brushwork will be emphasized. Improving color mixing and how to get dynamic value relationships will be a goal. He will present a free painting demonstration at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at a location in the downtown area to be announced.
