Danny Alan Morgan, 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2019, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born in DeGraff on May 6, 1939, to the late John Henry and Neoma Edith Grimes Morgan. He married Karen “Kay” Sheeley on Sept. 2, 1978, in Huntsville, and she preceded him in death April 13, 2013. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Carl E. Smith, Catherine M. Newland, Marjorie M. Bryson, Dorothy E. Lease, John J. Morgan and Mary Ann Downing.
A graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was a tool and die maker and worked at Siemens for many years. After retiring from Siemens, Danny opened Morgan Tool & Die and enjoyed the time working in the shop with his son. He loved to hunt, fish, mushroom hunt and show his car at area car shows. Danny was a member of the VFW, Elks, Moose and American Legion.
Danny is survived by his children, Neoma Price and John A. (Melanie) Morgan, both of Bellefontaine; stepson, Charles (Beth) Ragland of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Curtis Morgan, Jonathon Morgan, Tierra Morgan, Dani Miller, Cody Jarrett and Dustin Jarrett; great-grandchildren, Landyn, Grant and Callileigha Jarrett, Bentley Morgan and Ryker, Jaxton, Kyson and Zayden Morgan; brothers, Richard D. Morgan of Urbana and Jim (Barb) Morgan of Wapakoneta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors and burial in Huntsville Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the staff of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
