Ok Soo Moon, 85, of Colorado, a former long-time resident of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Littleton Adventist Hospital in Colorado.
She was born in Korea on May 5, 1933, and was a practicing pediatrician. She migrated to the United States in 1967 with her husband, and love of her life, Koo Hyun Moon, and her two children, John and Paul. Later, she was blessed to have another son, David and daughter, Mary.
They settled in 1972 in Bellefontaine, where her husband practiced urology and they raised their four children. All were graduates of Bellefontaine High School and went on to be successful practicing physicians.
Ok Soo was widowed in 2001. She was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was proud of her family and their success academically, athletically and professionally. She loved the regular family vacations that brought the family together in beautiful places around the globe and afforded time to spend with loved ones.
Known for her intellect and competitive spirit, she was an avid golf, tennis and ping pong player, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ok Soo is survived by her son, John Moon, his wife, Jee-Hyun Park and their children Joshua and Mathew; son, Paul Moon and his children, Conner and Nyah Moon; son, David Moon, his wife, Sopheap Na and their son, Aiden Moon; and daughter, Mary Britton, her husband, Ernest Britton and children, Miles and Isabelle Britton.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Asbury Korean United Methodist Church, 7140 S. Colorado Blvd., Centennial, Colo.
