Bonnie Greenawalt, 77, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 ,at Logan Acres.
She was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Springfield, a daughter of Glenn and Carmen Shaftner Smith. A 1960 graduate of Tecumseh High School, she was a retired beautician-hairdresser and worked as a tennis pro and taught tennis at the Bellefontaine Racquet Club. She loved many other sports, especially water sports; which included spending a lot of time at Indian Lake with family and friends.
She served as chaplain for the Moose Lodge and was a member of the Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Greenawalt in May 2010.
Survivors included her daughter, Natasha (Shane) Sturms; granddaughters, Tiffany and Brittany Sturms; brother, Glenn Smith; several nieces; and her special friend and companion, Perry Zirkle.
Pastor Penny Reeves officiates a graveside service at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, in Ferncliff Cemetery Springfield through arrangements in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory West Liberty.
