Kayla M. Richards, 17, of Belle Center, was cited for failure to yield related to a non-injury crash involving her car and an Amish buggy Sunday evening.
Deputies report she was operating a northbound car on County Road 49 about 6:50 p.m. and failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign at County Road 105. She entered the intersection to make a left turn and struck the horse pulling the eastbound buggy that was operated by Levi R. Schlabach, 71, of Belle Center.
Damage was heavy to the buggy and to the car. Kayla was wearing her seat belt.
• Gage M. Reisinger, 20, of Kenton, and his passenger, Samantha J. Maynard, 21, of Alger, each were transported by Huntsville EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Saturday.
Deputies report Reisinger was operating an eastbound minivan on State Route 274 and stopped at the stop sign at U.S. Route 33 about 7:50 p.m. He failed to yield to an southeast-bound pickup on U.S. Route 33 and his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by the pickup, which was operated by Jason M. Bradford, 44, of Grandview Heights.
Bradford did not report any injuries.
Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. The occupants were wearing their seat belts.
