Daniel O. Scott, 41, of 308 N. Main St., Quincy, was charged with domestic violence, having weapons under disability and having weapons while intoxicated related to an incident Friday evening at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 8:50 p.m. to his address on a report of a man outside the home with two firearms. The female caller told dispatchers that she had secured herself in a bedroom of the home and that he had been making threats of hurting himself.
Upon their arrival, deputies drew their weapons and ordered the suspect to put his hands in the air and walk toward deputies. Scott complied with the orders and he was placed under arrest. Deputies observed an odor of alcohol on his person.
Deputies recovered the two firearms inside the home from a gun case. The female caller told deputies Scott had in his possession during the incident and that she had also feared for her safety.
She said she took the opportunity to lock him out of the house when she had the chance, but then he again gained access to the home.
Scott was placed under arrest and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
