Calvary Christian’s girls basketball team used a 21-0 first quarter to help put away host Gilead Christian 63-19 on Monday.
The win improves the Spartans to 3-1 on the season.
“We have traveled a lot of miles the last three games,” said Calvary head coach Eli Carter. “To have another long trip tonight and see our kids respond with a 21-0 first quarter sure makes a coach happy. A lot of players were able to get some playing time and nine total players scored for us tonight.”
Elisha Carter fueled the Spartans with 33 points and broke the school record for three-pointers in a game with six.
Also for the Spartans, Anna Kratz had nine points and Karys Varner chipped in six points.
The Spartans travel to Circleville on Friday to face OCSAA defending state champion New Hope Christian.
