Triad’s boys basketball team took control in the first half against visiting Riverside and went on to secure a 54-42 non-league victory.
The Cardinals improve their record to 7-2 on the season as the Pirates slide to 3-4.
“The kids definitely came out ready to play,” said RHS head coach Dean Sanford. “We showed a lot of heart and gave a lot of effort. Even though we didn’t win, we are definitely headed in the right direction.
“I’m very proud of the way our kids played in the second half. Now we have to work hard in practice and get ready for Lehman on Friday.”
