Bellefontaine’s boys bowling team won the Jim Shaw Baker Challenge Saturday in Columbus. The Chieftains rolled 21 baker games for a total of 4,156 pins, which was an average of 197.9 for the day.
“I couldn’t be more proud of these boys,” said BHS boys head coach Tammy Overholser. “They had so much fun, but yet so much fight. They make it easy to have complete faith in them.”
Bellefontaine played Heath in the final match of the day. The Chiefs fell in the first match, but came back to take the next two to win the championship. The BHS team consisted of Ian Salyer, Beau Salyer, Isaiah Henry, Caleb Gonterman, Ryan Carman and Landon Gibbs.
Bellefontaine is back on the lanes Thursday at London for a Central Buckeye Conference match.
Ben Logan falls to Graham
Benjamin Logan’s boys bowling team fell to host Graham on Friday 2,502-2,413 in a Central Buckeye Conference match.
Timmy Porter led the Raiders with games of 180 and 232 for a 412 series and Bryce Loomis had games of 205 and 204 for a 409 series.
Ben Logan travels to Northwestern on Thursday for another CBC contest.
