Labor Day is around the corner. Summer is coming to an end. Many of us fantasy football fanatics have our league drafts this weekend.
Our draft is a day-long affair every Sunday on Labor Day weekend. We have a full slate of events, beginning with the draft in the morning. Immediately following the draft we have a rib competition, with four league managers competing in this fiercely contested cook-off. A card tournament is next on our itinerary. The winner earns bragging rights for the calendar year among other assets.
Many of us morph into fantasy prognosticators throughout the day, critiquing each other’s teams as we enjoy our favorite beverages. Along the way, rivalries are born and renewed as the managers discuss rosters and draft results. Bold predictions and bravado fill the air as the draft ends well after the sun goes down.
As we prep for our draft, we take a look at position rankings. There are all kinds of rankings out there, so we took a stab at our own. Scoring systems for fantasy football are league dependent. Please note these rankings are based on a points per reception (PPR) format.
