Bellefontaine II takes third in county tourney
Ninth seed Bellefontaine I Dairy Queen finished third in the Logan County Little League tournament.
Bellefontaine I beat fourth-seeded Ridgeway 14-2 and then defeated third-seeded Washington 8-7 on Saturday.
For the day, Connor Rose had four hits and six RBI. Robby Wildermuth had four hits and four RBI, Jarrid Baughman had three hits with a triple and Connor Mentzer had two triples.
Jeremy Baughman got the win against Ridgeway and Jarrid Baughman earned the win against Washington.
Bellefontaine knocked off top-seeded Zanesfield 8-6, but then fell to Huntsville in the loser’s bracket final.
Team members for Dairy Queen were Robbie Smith, Dhalin Damron, Jay Robinson, Connor Mentzer, Jeremy Baughman, Nick Williams, Connor Rose, Jarrid Baughman, Robby Wildermuth, Hunter Warner and Caleb Williams.
Huntsville wins all-star tourney
Huntsville defeated Ridgemont by a score of 21-4 in the first round, Quincy by a score of 18-12 in the semifinals, and Lakeview 21 -14 in the championship game to win the county coach pitch all star tournament championship.
The team was made up of all stars from the Huntsville I Minnich Law Office and Huntsville II Woody’s Diner teams.
