The all-Central Buckeye Conference baseball teams had a strong local flavor this spring.

Benjamin Logan junior Zane Collins was named the Mad River division player of the year, while Bellefontaine senior Jarrod Houchin was the Kenton Trail division co-player of the year along with Tippecanoe’s Ben Hughes.

Nine other area players earned first-team all-CBC honors.

Along with Collins, the Mad River first team included Ben Logan’s Brady Bechtel, Austin Cline, Tristin Harshfield, Josh Whitten and Tyler Tevis and Indian Lake’s Jacob Hulbert and Alex Jacobs.

Joining Houchin on the Kenton Trail first team were the Chiefs’ Tyler Jones and Cody Lyons.
