The Raiders are now 20-8 on the season and travel to state-ranked Greenville on Thursday in a sectional semifinal.
“We really hit the ball well tonight,” said Ben Logan head coach John Stahl. “We had 14 hits and everyone was hitting the ball.
“We’ve had a really good season. We had a slow start but turned it around to win our 20th game tonight. I’m very proud of this team. They are only the eighth team at Ben Logan to ever win 20 games.”
Ben Logan led 2-1 after two innings.
The Raiders got a momentum boost, though, in the third inning. Darrian Rockhold launched a three-run home run to give Ben Logan a 5-1 lead.
“Darrian Rockhold really changed the game with a three-run home run in the third inning,” said Stahl. “That gave us a little bit of a cushion and we never looked back.”
