Chieftain girls take second at Ben Logan Invite

Bellefontaine’s girls junior high track and field team came a few points short of winning the Benjamin Logan Invitational on Thursday.

Anna edged out BMS 93.83-91.3 to win the girls 15-team meet. West Liberty-Salem came in third with 82 points. Ben Logan finished in eighth with 31.3 points and Calvary Christian was 15th with one point.

The Rockets also won the boys meet with 104.3 points. Wapakoneta was a distant second with 69.3 points, Graham was third with 67 points and the Chieftains were fourth with 66 points. River Valley came in fifth with 51.3 points, the Raiders were sixth with 49.6 points and the Tigers were seventh with 44.6 points. The Spartans were 11th with 14 points.

Ben Logan’s Stevie Plikerd earned the most valuable performer award for the girls meet after scoring 23 team points.
