Former Benjamin Logan standout Kyle Seeley, who is now the head coach of the Villa Rica High School wrestling program in Georgia, produced the school’s first state wrestling champion last weekend.
Seeley is in his fourth year as head coach. Senior Tristan Ware won the Class 5A state title with a season record of 54-2. Seeley also had a third-year wrestler place fifth at 182 pounds.
The pair of finishes helped Villa Rica to its most successful season in school history, placing 17th out of 55 teams at the state meet.
