Raiders unable to answer Red Devils’ outside barrage

SPRINGFIELD — Benjamin Logan hoped that providing some extra help inside against Tippecanoe would allow it to fare better than it did in a 78-47 loss to the Red Devils early in the regular season.

Tippecanoe foiled that plan with some deadly outside shooting, and the result was another lopsided loss for the Raiders.

The Red Devils hit 10 three-pointers to cruise to a 67-40 victory in a Division II sectional semifinal at Springfield High School.

“We were really focused on stopping (Ben Stucke) and (Michael Landwehr) inside,” said Ben Logan head coach Dave Myers. “You kind of have to pick your poison. We held those two guys to a combined seven points in the first half, but their guards shot the ball extremely well from the outside.”
