NEW CARLISLE — Bellefontaine was on the verge of pulling off a huge league win here Friday, but could not finish the job.

The Chiefs saw a late lead slip away in regulation and they went scoreless in the overtime session to fall 48-42 to host Tecumseh in a crucial Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division game.

“We put ourselves in a position to win the game, but we didn’t make enough plays down the stretch,” said Bellefontaine head coach Henry Stolly.
