Knights use big third quarter to put away IndianLake

IndianLake Lakers

Indian Lake’s boys basketball team came up short against host Greenon on Friday as it fell 61-57 in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.

The Lakers slide to 5-8 overall and 4-2 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Knights move to 5-7, 3-2. The Knights avenged a 68-60 loss to the Lakers earlier in the season.

Greenon started off with a 16-11 lead after the first quarter. The Lakers battled back to outscore the Knights 16-8 in the second quarter, for a 27-24 advantage at halftime.

The Knights caught fire in the third quarter, though, and used a 26-12 run to retake the lead. That burst put Greenon up 50-39.
