West Liberty-Salem girls overwhelm Irish 54-19 in OHC action

West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team rolled past visiting Springfield Catholic Central on Saturday for a 54-19 Ohio Heritage Conference victory.

The Tigers jumped out to a 15-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 26-4 at halftime.

Madison Oelker powered the Tigers with 10 points, eight rebounds, six assists and six steals. Mikalia McIntosh had nine points and Jamie Peterson and Kaylin Frederick each had seven points.

There was no junior varsity game.

West Liberty-Salem hosts Triad on Saturday in a local OHC contest.
