Karlie Wilbur, a junior at West Liberty-Salem, has been selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase North Jan. 4-5 at Kent State University.
Wilbur is an outfielder and first baseman. This will be her second trip to showcase, where she earned an MVP award last year.
The QDSN is in its 19th season. It is part of the Queen of Diamonds Showcase events, which are the largest fastpitch softball showcases in the U.S.
Players from more than 30 states as well as Canada compete in the showcase. Athletes are selected based on ability, potential, academics, coach’s requests and referrals.
In addition to playing for the Tigers, Wilbur plays summer softball for the Cinci Static 18-and-under squad.
