Slow start plagues Benjamin Logn girls in loss to Falcons

Graham’s girls basketball team took advantage of a slow start by visiting Benjamin Logan on Saturday and came away with a 38-31 victory in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.

The Raiders are now 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Falcons move to 4-2, 2-0.

Graham was in front 12-6 after the first quarter and 19-10 at halftime.

The Raiders got going in the third quarter with a 10-9 effort, but still trailed 28-20. They outscored the Falcons 11-10 in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough.

Taylor Quay led Ben Logan with 10 points and Natalie Drumm added eight points.

In the junior varsity game, Ben Logan edged Graham 42-38 in overtime. Addie Rodenberger led the Raiders with 13 points and Dakota Derr had 10 points.

Ben Logan hosts Triad on Wednesday in a local non-league matchup.
