Hillclimbers roll past BHS bowlers in CBC meeting


Urbana’s boys and girls bowling teams dropped both Bellefontaine squads in a Central Buckeye Conference meeting Tuesday at T-P Lanes.

The Hillcimbers took the boys contest 2,625-2,404 and the Urbana girls won 2,284-1,940.

Alex Richards fueled the BHS boys with games of 213 and 216 for a 429 series. Cale Sterling added a game of 187, while Dylan Legge and Cody Hullinger each had games of 178.

For the Chieftain girls, Allie Skelly rolled a 171 game and a 315 series.

Bellefontaine’s boys won the junior varsity match 1,550-1,398.

Dallas Gibbs powered the Chiefs with a 159 game and Anthony Tolliver was close behind with a game of 155.

Urbana won the girls junior varsity match 1,664-1,456. Individually for BHS, Hannah Hites had a game of 131 and Heather Johnson rolled a 130 game.
