WEAPONS RACE

Triad13 right

Matchup of dynamic offenses will be on display

Triad made sure to enjoy last week’s playoff win over Cedarville, but now it is back to business again.

The Cardinals know each game only gets tougher from here on out as they look to keep advancing in the Division VII state playoffs.

Triad is preparing for its first regional semifinal game since 2003 when it takes on Lehman Catholic Saturday at 7 p.m. at Harman Field in Wapakoneta.

The top-seeded Cardinals (11-0) got their feet wet with a 28-7 win over visiting Cedarville last Saturday in the opening round of the playoffs.

“We feel we were fortunate to get the win last Saturday,” said Triad head coach Payton Printz. “We played a bend-but-don’t-break game on defense, and fortunately our offense was able to score three touchdowns in the second half to secure the win.”
