Talented lefty drew interest from a host of college programs

Doug Lowe II is following in the footsteps of his father.
Lowe, a senior football and baseball standout at Triad, signed a letter of intent Thursday to play Division I college baseball at the University of Cincinnati.
“My dad (Douglas) played Division I baseball at Wright State, so it has been a goal of mine since I was little to be able to have this opportunity,” said the younger Lowe.
A talented left-handed pitcher, Lowe received a great deal of interest from college coaches. He also seriously considered the University of St. Louis, Xavier, Michigan, Boston College and Morehead State.
