Raiders clinch title

Benjamin Logan’s eighth-grade football team clinched at least a share of a Central Buckeye Conference title Tuesday with a 12-8 victory over Indian Lake.

Derek Coy rushed for a touchdown and Bryden Penhorwood caught a touchdown pass to lead the Raiders’ offense.

Defensively for BL, Cole Hauser had an interception and Cole Waugh had two interceptions.

The Raiders finished their season with a 7-1 record.

Riverside thumps W-Goshen

Riverside’s junior high football team wrapped up its season with a recent 42-14 win over Waynesfield-Goshen.

The Pirates finish at 5-3.

Caleb Stevens had a huge game for the Pirates with five touchdown runs. He scored on carries of 65, 55, 60, 25 and seven yards.

Stevens tallied 294 rushing yards.

Also for the Pirates, Trey Lane threw a 5-yard TD pass to Gavin Stallard. Lane scored on a two-point conversion run and threw a two-point conversion pass to Gavin Stallard.

Nick Hall had a 6-yard TD run and D.J. Strayer added a two-point conversion run for the Pirates.
