Tigers’ quest for return trip to state begins Saturday

Many of the area’s runners will lace up their shoes one last time this weekend. A handful of others hope that they have a couple of races left.

The six local cross country squads hope their countless miles of training pay off at the district cross country meet Saturday at the Miami Valley Career Technical Center in Clayton.

The Division III races start off district action Saturday, with the top four teams advancing to regional, as well as any remaining individual not on a qualifying team that finishes in the top 16.

WL-Salem’s girls race at 9 a.m., Triad’s boys compete at 9:30 a.m., Riverside’s boys race at 10:30 a.m., Riverside and Triad’s girls race together at 11 a.m. and the Tiger boys compete at 11:30 a.m.
