The Raiders quickly turned it on for a 25-12, 25-12, 25-13 in a Division II sectional volleyball tournament opener at Tecumseh High School.

Trotwood, which was seeded 12th out of the 14 teams in the sectional, hung around early in the first set. Ben Logan led just 11-9.

However, the Raiders went on a 14-3 spurt to win the set. Ben Logan (15-8) dominated the next two sets as well to advance to a sectional semifinal against Bellefontaine at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Tecumseh.

“It took us a few points to get warmed up,” said Benjamin Logan head coach Allison Reule. “Trotwood is not a bad team. Our girls did a good job responding after those first few minutes.”
