The Tigers were impressive as they ran away with the boys title by scoring 27 points. They had three of the top four runners and five of the top 10 finishers to win with ease.
“I’m just in awe of the performance that my guys displayed today on their own home course,” said WL-Salem boys head coach Mike Louden. “I’m extremely proud of our program today and ecstatic about our lone senior, Chris Buschur, who has now been a part of six OHC titles going back to seventh-grade. I can’t even begin to express how much he has meant to this program.
“We’ve preached all week that we needed to take each leg of the postseason one week at a time and treat it as if there was no next week guaranteed. I believe that they did just that today with their performance.”
