Indian Lake and West Liberty-Salem’s girls soccer teams battled to a 1-1 tie on Saturday in the final regular-season game for both teams.
The Tigers are now 12-3-1 overall and the Lakers are 3-11-2.
Morgan Freyhof scored first to put WL-Salem ahead 1-0 in the first half.
Indian Lake fought back in the second half as Kati Bowsher scored to tie the game 1-1.
Defensively, April Kelley and Bell Clark each had one save for the Tigers and Kylie Jenkins recorded 11 saves for the Lakers.
“Our defense has really come through the last six games,” said Indian Lake head coach Skip Oliver. “In that six-game stretch, we’ve managed two wins, three ties and lost one, and took fourth place in the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division. That is the best finish in over five years.”
WL-Salem begins tournament action at home Thursday against the winner of the game between Franklin-Monroe and Newtown, while Indian Lake travels to Northwestern.
