Sophomore standout Connor Davis piled up six goals on his way to helping Indian Lake’s boys soccer team to an outright Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division championship Wednesday night.
The Lakers handled visiting Graham for a 6-0 victory to wrap up the title. It is the first CBC championship in program history. The win moves Indian Lake to 10-6 overall and 7-4 in the league, and also sets the record for most victories in a season.
“To win a CBC championship outright is just unbelievable,” said Indian Lake head coach Jon Shoffstall. “These guys have really grinded some games out and earned some great results. They have put the time in during the offseason and have really earned the right to be called champions. What a great day in our program’s history.”
