Golf season comes to close for Ben Logan, Indian Lake

Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team and Indian Lake’s Caleb Meadows finished out their fall season at the Division II district tournament Thursday at Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown.

The top two teams and the top two individuals not on a qualifying team advanced to the Division II state tournament next week in Columbus.

Oakwood won the district title with a 292 and Fenwick grabbed the second qualifying spot by one stroke with a 316. Alter was next in third with a score of 317. The Raiders finished 12th with a 379.

Sophomore Grant Ricketts finished 25th overall with a round of 81. He shot 41 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine.

Also for the Raiders, T.J. Fink carded a 93, Garrett Dunn shot a 100, Colin Headings had a 105 and Tanner Rader posted a 113.

Indian Lake’s Meadows competed as an individual, but did not advance. He recorded an 82 with a strong 37 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine.
