Tippecanoe’s boys soccer team built a 3-0 lead and held on to shut out host Bellefontaine Monday in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail victory.

The Chieftains fall to 5-5-2 overall and 3-4-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail as the Red Devils improve to 10-3, 9-0.

Tippecanoe fought off Bellefontaine in the first half and came away with a 1-0 lead at the break after the Chieftains knocked the ball into their own goal. The Red Devils were able to score two more goals in the second half to pull away for the victory.

“We really played hard tonight,” said BHS boys head coach Steve Henry. “We scored an own goal in the first half for them, but we felt great going into halftime. Then we fouled a player in the box and gave up the penalty kick which really hit us hard.
