Indian Lake’s girls golf team and Sean Pusey came to play Thursday as they took top honors and set a new school record in the Central Buckeye Conference tournament Thursday at Reid Park in Springfield.
The Lakers won the CBC Mad River division championship for a second-consecutive year and set a new school record score of 360.

“It was an incredible day,” said Indian Lake girls head coach Mike Pusey. “Our team played very well. One of the things I tell the girls very often is that golf is about dealing with what happens. Everyone is going to hit bad shots. It’s how you deal with them and recover that makes the difference.
“Our kids were mentally tough all day. I couldn’t be prouder of them. One of the highlights of the day for me was Ashley and Murphy both shooting personal bests for 18 holes.”
