Chiefs start fast, but can’t hold off Braves

Springfield Shawnee’s volleyball squad rallied to drop host Bellefontaine in four sets on Tuesday, 16-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-7, in Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Chieftains fall to 5-5 overall and 1-4 in the CBC Kenton Trail division, while the Braves improve to 9-3, 4-1.

Jazmyn Haley led Bellefontaine’s efforts with 12 kills, two blocks and was 10-10 serving, while Jordan Lininger had 32 assists and 11 digs.

Also for the Chiefs, Kenzie Brunswick collected 11 kills, 10 digs and a block, Kameren Haley had 13 digs and eight kills, Carley Strzalka tallied 12 digs and was perfect serving and Amanda Case had seven digs and was perfect serving.
