Visiting Kenton Ridge won over Bellefontaine 5-0 in a Central Buckeye Conference match Tuesday.
The Chiefs put up a good fight at first doubles despite suffering a loss. Olivia Zink and Kylie Reed pulled out a 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 victory over the Chiefs’ Hannah Vance and Hannah Weimer.
The Cougars won at second doubles by forfeit.
Kenton Ridge took all three singles matches in straight sets. The Cougars’ Ashley Wallace beat Kiersten Daum 6-3, 6-1 at first singles, Kenton Ridge’s Carlie Castiaux won 6-0, 6-0 over Traysa Downing at second singles and the Cougars’ Hannah Zawada took a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Jenna Champion at third singles.
