Raiders unable to crack Hillclimbers

Urbana’s volleyball team took a step up in the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division race with a three-set sweep over host Benjamin Logan on Thursday.

The Hillclimbers won by scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-10. Urbana moves to 4-3 overall and 4-0 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Raiders slide to 7-4, 2-2.

Urbana also won the junior varsity contest in three sets over Ben Logan.

The loss drops the Raiders’ record to 9-2.

For the Ben Logan reserves, Betsy King recorded four kills and four blocks, Coreen Crosby added five kills and 10 points and Bri Frazier dished out 10 assists, came up with 10 points and finished with five kills.

Ben Logan travels to Greenon on Tuesday for CBC action.
