Inconsistent play plagues Chieftains in 3-set loss to Knights

Greenon’s volleyball team swept host Bellefontaine for a three-set victory 25-19, 26-24, 25-22 on Thursday in Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Chieftains drop to 5-3 overall and the Knights improve to 7-4.

Carley Strzalka paced BHS with 12 digs and was 12-12 serving, while Jordan Lininger had 30 assists and Kenzie Brunswick had 12 kills and 10 digs.

In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine won 25-17, 25-20. Caitlin Hollar led BHS in digs and Monica Martz was 16-16 serving with five aces.

The Chiefs’ freshman team lost to Marion Harding 25-23, 24-26, 25-23.
