The tie puts the Chieftains at 2-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the CBC as the Hillclimbers move to 2-2-2, 0-2-1.
“This was a game where both teams felt like they should have won,” said BHS head coach Steve Henry. “We did a decent job of marking their forwards, but our possessions were not very strong. They took the game up a level in the second half and we struggled at times to match it. Part of that was me trying to stay too long with certain players and not getting in more breaks.”
The Chiefs’ Lance Allinson scored at the 34-minute mark of the first half to give BHS a 1-0 lead. Urbana tied the game 1-1 with a goal, but Bellefontaine’s Aaron Wisner came back to score at the 10-minute mark to put BHS ahead 2-1 at the break.
