Cougars prove too much for Raiders

Kenton Ridge’s girls soccer team pulled away from host Benjamin Logan for a 6-1 win Monday in Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Cougars improve to 1-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the CBC, while the Raiders fall to 4-2-2, 0-2-1.

“Kenton Ridge always fields a good team and this year is no exception,” said Ben Logan girls head coach Ryan Kerns. “They have a very high energy attack and they are formidable in the back. They didn’t show us their traditional high back line this time around, which did work to our advantage in the second half.

“However, they came out quickly and the damage was done in the first half hour of play. To our girls’ credit they never stopped fighting and they clearly were not going to accept the loss.”
