Chieftain boys take sixth at Spencerville Invitational

Bellefontaine’s boys cross country team turned in a sixth-place finish Saturday at the Spencerville Bobcat Invitational.

South Adams of Indiana won the Black race with 39 points, Anna was second with 64 points and Lima Central Catholic was third with 100 points. The Chieftain boys came in sixth with 153 points and the Chieftain B team was 22nd with 503 points.

St. Marys claimed the girls Black race with 59 points, Belmont was second with 71 points and New Haven was third with 117 points. Bellefontaine’s girls were 16th with 377 points and Indian Lake’s girls were 17th with 417 points.

“We are inching along into the right direction,” said BHS boys head coach Ben Davis. “Storm Harman had an excellent race. We have momentum going into this Saturday. It was nice to get Ryan Dunn aboard finally (for first race of the season).”
