Bellefontaine wants to build on positives from season opener
Bellefontaine’s football team showed some encouraging signs against Wapakoneta in a loss last week, but the Chiefs are not looking for any moral victo- ries this season.
Bellefontaine will not be satisfied with anything but a win Friday as it hosts Sidney at 7:30 p.m. for a Week 2 non-league matchup.
“The kids have bounced back well in practice this week,” said head coach Toby Smith. “They feel like they are ready to take the next step, and that is what we expect. We need them to take the next step on Friday.”
Bellefontaine trailed Wapakoneta by only four points late in the third quarter, but ran out of gas down the stretch in a 35- 17 loss a week ago.WEEK ONE PREVIEW, exclusively in Thursday's Examiner. CLICK HERE to subscribe today!
