Bellefontaine settles for tie with Falcons

Bellefontaine’s girls soccer team grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead and then had to settle for a 1-1 tie with visiting Graham on Wednesday in a Central Buckeye Conference contest.

The tie moves the Chieftains to 1-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the CBC Kenton Trail division. Graham is now 0-3-1, 0-1-1.

“We came out really flat and let Graham dictate the pace of the game,” said BHS girls head coach Matt Price. “We were for- tunate to go into halftime up 1- 0. We made a formation adjustment in the second half and played with a lot more urgency.

“We need to amp up our work rate for the entire game and work on getting the ball away from our goal in order to get where we want to be.”
