GOLF ROUNDUP: IL boys shoot down Knights in CBC match


Indian Lake’s boys golf team defeated Greenon 176-183 in a Central Buckeye Conference golf match Tuesday at Cherokee Hills.

The Lakers’ Caleb Meadows was the medalist with a 36. Quenten Staley shot 42, Randall Henson had 43 and Brad Hoover added a 55.

Chris Winter led Greenon with a 40.

Tiger boys dominate tri-match

West Liberty-Salem’s boys golf team dominated a tri-match at Locust Hills against host Southeastern and Emmanuel Christian on Tuesday.

The Tigers won the match with 161 and improved their Ohio Heritage Conference mark to 8-0. The Trojans edged the Lions 190-192 to finish in second.

Bellefontaine tops Pirates

Bellefontaine’s girls golf team cruised past Triad 201-252 on Tuesday.

The Chiefs’ Chelsea McLaughlin was the medalist with a 43. She was followed by Allie Skelly and Sarah Hall with 52s, Emily Fulmer with a 54, Kathleen Coakley with a 55 and Haley Watkins with a 57.

Lakers down Cougars

Indian Lake’s girls golf team held on to beat host Kenton Ridge 197-203 at Reid Park Tuesday in Springfield for a Central Buckeye Conference victory.

Sean Pusey led the Lakers with a 46, Morgan Barnett had a 47, Kylie Speicher carded a 49, Ashley Wall shot a 55 and Murphy Oberle added a 57.
