Over the last three years, Wapakoneta has grabbed complete control of its annual series against Bellefontaine.

The Redskins outscored Bellefontaine by a combined total of 139-23 in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 games.

Those three routs were a result of a devastating Wapakoneta ground attack. The Redskins rolled up 1,158 rushing yards with their Wing-T offense.

A year ago, the Redskins ran wild to the tune of 358 yards in a 49-13 victory.

In order to turn the tide, Bellefontaine must find a way to slow down the Redskins’ running game in Friday’s season opener at Wapakoneta.

“They are very disciplined and very good at their scheme,” said Bellefontaine head coach Toby Smith, who will be making his BHS debut Friday. “They do a good job of playing down hill. They like to pull guys to try and overload you in certain spots.”
