Ben Logan boys shoot down Lakers, Cavaliers


Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team fought off visiting Indian Lake and Lehman Catholic to win a tri-match Monday at Tree Links Golf Course.

The Raiders won with 172, the Cavaliers came in second with 180 and the Lakers were third with 183.

Standout Grant Ricketts finished with one-under par 35 to lead Ben Logan.

Also for the Raiders, Tanner Rader carded a 45, while Colin Headings and T.J. Fink had 46s.

Indian Lake was led by Caleb Meadows with 41, while Quenten Staley shot 43, Randall Henson carded 44 and Jalon Tuttle had a 55.

Ben Logan travels to Northwestern on Wednesday and Indian Lake hosts Urbana on Thursday.

Pirates host tri-match with Calvary Christian

Riverside’s boys golf team hosted a tri-match with Botkins and Calvary Christian on Monday at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

The Trojans won with 169, the Pirates took second with 221 and the Spartans were third with 238.

Landon Kelsey led Riverside with 45, Ross Stevens had 57, Derek Kobylack had 58, Jared Trabert carded 61, Luke Lowery shot 62 and Andrew Wright added 72.

For Calvary Christian, Peter Prince had 54, Austin Durnell had 55, Luke Olsen shot 63, Noah Taylor recorded 65 and McKayla Hartley added 71.

Botkins’ Roger Miller was match medalist with a low of 38.

Riverside hosts Lehman Catholic today.
