Quincy’s Smith takes Heath Farms 30 at Shady Bowl

Shady Bowl Speedway hosted a full night of racing Saturday, with Bobby Dale Earnhardt highlighting the event.

It turned out to be a learning experience for Earnhardt, a grandson of legendary racer Dale Earnhardt Sr. The West Virginia driver was making his first attempt at driving a late model on pavement.

Earnhardt lost control on lap 10 of the Heath Farms 30 and found the wall, putting his car on the trailer for the rest of the night.

Josh Smith of Quincy led the final three laps to take the win.
